講  題：Dynamics of Convolution Operators on Groups

摘   要

  Recently dynamics of linear operators have been studied intensely since the work 
of Birkhoff and MacLane. In this talk, we will focus on the notion of hypercyclicity, 
which is equivalent to topological transitivity. The latter together with periodicity forms chaos. 
We will investigate translation operators on locally compact groups, and give the 
sufficient and necessary condition for such operators to be hypercyclic and chaotic. 
In particular, we show that the density of periodic points of a weighted translation 
implies automatically hypercyclicity.
